It can take some time for skin to adjust to our treatments. We recommend using our treatments 2-3 nights a week for the first two weeks. As your skin adjusts, you can increase the frequency of use during the following weeks. Most people are able to safely use our products every night using the ramp-up method, but they are still highly effective when used every other or every third night. It is more important to be consistent than it is to use it nightly.
layer with a moisturizer
If you are experiencing peeling or dryness, it is essential to use a moisturizer (morning and night) after your skin product has been applied. A moisturizer that contains vitamin E can be particularly helpful at combating dryness from tretinoin.
use daily SPF
Sun damage can happen quicker than you realize, and without visible effects. Your skin is particularly prone to photodamage while using our treatments, so make sure to use SPF (we recommend SPF 15+) on any sun-exposed skin.
switch to a non-irritating face wash
Face washes that contain high levels of salicylic acid or lots of surfactants can contribute to dry, peeling and red skin. It is best to use a mild, non-OTC face wash while using our treatments.
